I am a 36 year old single girl living in the city (London).  I am an executive director for a very large US bank; improbable when you think I had my son 2 weeks after my 17th birthday and left school with only GCSEs.  I have a 19 year old son who is a baby mortgage broker back in my home town of Bournemouth  I love Bournemouth and go back as much as possible.

I have just bought my first flat in Fulham in London.  It’s the size of one of my Christian Laboutin shoe boxes but I love it and am trying to fill it with lots of lovely things and make it a home.  So far I’ve been here a month and actually been in it for about 6 hours aside from sleeping.

I am a bit of an exercise nut, I love running races and just completed my first tough mudder which I will blog about.  I really hope I can do the London Marathon next year although I’ve never run further than 13.1 miles so it will be a stretch.  Have a lot of half marathons and 10ks scheduled this year including the Great North Run and Royal Parks Half both of which I got in on the ballot! I’m never that lucky.

Inside I am fat girl trying to convince the rest of me to eat cake and be wobbly.  I don’t want that and try my hardest to wear my size 8-10s although recognise trousers will never be that size!!

I love holidays and am a travel snob, love fast cars (I will own one again one day), and am a total foodie.

So that’s me, just trying to find my way alone as a single girl but recognising that I have some amazing friends and family and am very lucky.
